The tooth fairy gives them how much???

I bought this little hat and flower for Caley a while back and thought it might be cute to take some pictures with.  Too bad she hates it!!!  She really is a good sport with pictures though.  I get more time with her during the week so she always seems to be my little guinea pig.  I'm definitely gonna take some pictures of the boys soon but I'm not sure they'll be quite as thrilled about it.  I might have to do a little bribing. :)

Push-Ups....a new form of punishment at the Busby House.  My kids are gonna get really strong...fast.  I'll explain more later.

Oh Tooth Fairy....I lost another tooth.

By the time Christmas comes around I think we'll be singin'....All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth.  Love it!!  So cute.

Apparently our kids get jipped by the tooth fairy.  I need some advice on how to handle these kind of remarks..."But so-and-so gets $10 from the tooth fairy."

So, tell me, why does the tooth fairy give more money to some kids.  I need a good answer!!!!  Please!!

Ooh, that's a tough one. Maybe the tooth fairy doubles the money on certain days of the week?!?!

Because those kids are spoiled rotten, that's why!! ...Leave a note telling the tooth fairy that the Busby's only will allow their children to receive no more than __ amount. The fairy may donate the rest to her charity of choice!

I like Mandy's idea re:charity! I never got $10 as a kid-- you'd go broke fast!

Tell them that the other kids' teeth are made of gold and that's why they are worth more. Maybe one day they will have a golden tooth, but until then, they just have to settle for what the fairy gives them.

Hey Brooke! Your blog is super cute.
We had this same problem... which I think is insane! The first time the fairy came to our house, she left a note saying $1 would be awarded for teeth that met her standards. All others would only get a quarter. This helps from time to time with brushing issues at bedtime. But, when Lucy went to school bragging that she got $1, she learned that was low... We told her, and we do the same with kids who get WAY TOO MUCH from Santa, that all of those characters have our cell numbers and they call and discuss with us what we think is fair. And since we're trying not to be greedy, that's the limit we set for her. Though, I do LOVE the charity idea above.

At first I was worried she may go back and tell the kids that their parents are greedy... but truth is, they're spoiling their kids rotten, so whatever. Truth hurts! :-) I don't mean to sound so petty, but it does drive me crazy. Our kids are way to young to even appreciate it.

Oh, by the way, this is Holly Maynard Hudson.
Love your blog and all the stuff you and Paige are making! Too cute. Take care!

$10...that's crazy! I don't care even if you have the money...kids don't need that much for a lost tooth. :)

At our house, the tooth fairy always leaves different amounts. {That way she doesn't have to make a midnight fly-by to the ATM!} We just always say that the tooth fairy has a certain amount that she has to evenly divide amongst all the children that she visits that night...I'm quite sure she's all about fairness! So I guess my kids are always hoping no one else in the world will lose a tooth that day =)

Love the picture of Caley! That hat is ADORABLE!!!

I never really thought about the tooth fairy being compared to others at school. When our kids start losing teeth, I think that the fairy would be crazy to give $10!!! Best of luck with that one. You'll definitely have to let us know what you figure out.

Tell them the exchange rate is higher in certain areas where the Tooth Fairy travels. Or the cash value is determined by bone density or something. Or you could just hand them an Economics textbook and say, "I don't know. You guys figure it out."

I realize none of this is helpful....

When my 6 year old lost his first tooth-he was bragging to his cousins..his cousins remark was "gosh I hope you don't have the same tooth fairy as I so" come to find out his tooth fairy always FORGETS to stop by his house! Good luck with this whole thing-someday they will be grateful they got anything (I hope)..I also LOVE you scraping blog-thanks for sharing:)

The hat is ADORABLE and your photography and effects are awesome, too! Of course, none would be nearly as cute without your beautiful subject there!
And for the tooth fairy, you have GOT to be kidding me! I think our tooth fairy MAYBE brought a dollar. But my favorite was when I lost a tooth late one night before bed and my tooth fairy brought me an IOU... in my dad's handwriting. :)
